It is not about The Farewell. It is about The Memories

February, 12th-19th 2018
Let’s move to the last week. I called this week “The Busy Week”. Why? Because, I had to make portfolio, journal, and reflection. Yeah! It was the time to do many things. Everyone talked about portfolio any time and everywhere. It was like scary words when talk about the deadline to collect portfolio. But, we had to finish it as well as we can because it was “A Must” for us as the Practice Teacher.
On February, 12th 2018. I still went to the school because I wanted to see the  “Jingle Presentation” of my students about Calculus. But, unfortunately when I arrived there they said that jingle Presentation was canceled to next week because they have to practice for Masquerade Ball. I was so sad because next week I was not here with them. But, I didn’t believe that they make a surprise for me. They called me to sit in front of the class and sang a song for me. After that, they brought me a lot of foods of Filipinos like salted eggs, grilled pork, pork skin chips, snack from Philippines, fried sweet rice, tamarind and another foods. Wow! I was so full. You gave me the free foods guys hahhaaha. They made like a talk show for me and ask me the taste of all the foods. Actually, you’re so sweet 10-A science :) It was really touched me. I love you so much guys. I really want to stay long with you :( Thank you so much for the surprise :). I’m gonna miss you :(. After that I watched them to practice for preparation of Masquerade Ball. They were so awesome :)
My beloved students

In this week exactly, on February, 13th 2018 Ma’am Blessie, one of our supervisor treats us dinner for her birthday in Mang Inasal. Wow, we ate a lot hehhehe. In Mang Inasal we ate rice and grilled chicken. Hmm, so delicious. Thank you so much Ma’am Blessie :)

On February, 14th 2018 we were invited to attend the Masquerade Ball. It was the honor for us to attend it. Masquerade Ball is the Junior High School Prom Night. In Masquerade ball, we had to bring the passport that the committee given to us as the ticket to attend this program. Then, we saw all of the Junior High School students used the best dress. They looked so beautiful and handsome. We saw the students’ dancing performance and also fashion show. Wow! They were awesome in dancing. Their performance made me never stop to say what a fabulous dancing ever! But I really like one of the student performance from Grade 10-A Science. They performed “Beauty and The Beast”. I fell in love with their performance. It was like the real Disney hehhe and did you know? They’re my students hehehe :). But, it was not the reason why I like it but actually they performed the best dancing :). The Masquerade Ball finished around 02.00 a.m. but we had to back to the Hostel earlier to finish our Portfolio after we took some pictures

In this week also we had closing program. Before closing program on February 15th , we joined cooking demonstration. There were three kind of foods that we want to cook, food from Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippines. Because we are from Indonesia, so we demonstrate foods from Indonesia. Our main course was Pangek (Traditional food from Padang) and it’s so spicy the dessert was Pallu Butung (dessert from Makassar). Actually they couldn’t eat Pangek because it’s so spicy and they didn’t like spicy but they still tried to taste it because they were curious. Then, at 06.00 p.m. we continued to our Closing program and also our farewell. In the closing program we presented the Filipinos dancing and use Filipinos Traditional Costume and we just practice this dance around 3 hours. OMG!!! I couldn’t memorize it well. But, our dancing performance made the audience laughing. Why? Because we forgot many parts hahaha .But,it’s okay we already showed our best and Go International hahaha :). After that, The Master of Ceremonial called our name one by one to get certificate.  All of us got certificate. It’s one of our dream that comes true. I was so proud join this program, and it was the gold opportunity that couldn’t come twice. Then, we changed our clothes by using our own traditional costume and I used Torajanese traditional costume. After that, all of us gave the simple  souvenirs for the President University . It just as sign to say thank you to the TAU that really welcome us and do their best for us. Thank you so much TAU :).Then, we enjoyed our farewell dinner (the last dinner here :() and took some pictures. Beside that, everyone was sad because it was the last time in Philippines. We are crying because we had to say goodbye :) and it was hard for me to say it :( We would back to the Indonesia and meet our family and friends there. But, one thing that I couldn’t forget that TAU is a part of my life. I will not forget it especially people here that so humble and so kindly.I hope one day I will come in Tarlac Agricultural University again. I’m gonna miss Philippines so much especially TAU :). Thank you so much for everyone in TAU :)

Travel to Manila

February, 10th 2018

After the third week passed and the end of this week we had a holiday again to Manila. Let’s free and relaxed guys hehehe :).  It was the chance to stay away from our frustrated during a week. But, it was the last holiday here :). So sad :).

This day, I wake up at 03.00 a.m. because we had to go to Manila at 04.00 p.m. so we couldn’t get traffic jam.  We spent 3-4 hours to get there. As usual, we went to Manila by one and only TAU bus. On the bus during the way I just spent many times to sleep until we arrived in Manila. When we arrived there, the first place that we visited was The Mind Museum. The requirement to enter the museum is bring our ID Card. But, unfortunately I didn’t bring my TAU ID card. So, What should I do? Then, my mentor said that you can use the picture of your ID Card. I searched in my cellphone and hooorayyy I got it. So I could enter the museum. The mind museum is like the science museum. We could learn many things about science here like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. When we entered the museum the first thing that we found was the Robot that could speak. It is so smart Robot J. Then we could find many things about science. There was a place here that looks like we could see all of the universe. We could see another planets, sun, moon, stars and etc. We could also learn about life, technology, atom, and earth. It was like mini laboratory. We could also find the fossil of Dinosaurs. The Mind Museum's mission is to provide an extraordinary educational experience that inspires the public to understand nature. In front of The Mind Museum we could see the biggest Dinosaurs that looked like alive with the frighten voice. Wow! Amazing !

The first place in the museum that we visited was Universe Gallery: The Beginning and Majesty of the Cosmos .The Universe Gallery showcases humankind’s wondrous fascination with outer space. It features exhibits that show how all of life, as we know it, found its atomic beginnings in the stars. It enfolds visitors in the fundamental elements at play in the cosmos. Get closer to the wonders of the universe in the mini planetarium, the Space Shell. Currently showing: "LIFE: A Cosmic Story" and "Origins of Life."  There was the Astronaut’s statue here. Then, we could find planets, sun, and all of the things of the universe. It was look like the real universe. Then, we visited Art Gallery and I focused on the biggest Dinosaur here. Wow! Great!. Next place was Technology Gallery: The Showcase Of Human Ingenuity. The Technology Gallery is the largest of all the galleries. It is the only exhibition space on the second level, overlooking the other four galleries. This gallery presents technology not as a mere tool, gadget or industrial advancement but as means to flesh out human values and to help us become better humans. The gallery is divided into five major themes with each theme occupying a Node. The themes of the Nodes are: How We Live, Who We Are, How We Know, How Things Work, and Here to There. The fourth place was Life Gallery: The Exuberant Varieties of Life. The Life Gallery showcases the exuberance of a living planet in all its forms. It features the various habitats and the astonishing number and variety of organisms that thrive on our planet. We could find the biggest Dolphin here . We could also learn about DNA and other living things. The fifth place was Atom Gallery: The Strange World of the Very Small. The Atom Gallery is the gallery with the most number of interactive exhibits. It contains the very elemental forces that are so familiar that we take them for granted like gravity and electromagnetism. It also presents the counter-intuitive quantum world that resembles nothing in everyday experience, yet serves as the basis for much of the technology of today. In this place I tried to check the electromagnetism of my hair and surprise my hair was stand up hahaha :). It was the nice experience here.

Did you know the place? Jollibee again hehehe. I’m gonna miss Jollibee when I’m in Indonesia. :)
